This is for individuals who are seemingly well but at high risk of developing diabetes, hypertension, heart attack, brain stroke or cancer. Typically these individuals have one of the following risk factors-
Sedentary life style
Excess alcohol consumption
Strong Family history
In wellness clinic we look at educating individuals to change lifestyle and identify at risk individuals by screening.
Diabetic screening: GTT – to identify early diabetes, FBS/PPBS/HbA1c, urine protein and sugar, Lipid profile
Hypertension screening: Regular blood pressure monitoring, ECG, urine protein, U/S kidney, TFTs
Heart screening: ECG, ECHO, treadmill test, RBS, Lipid profile
Brain stroke screening: Carotid Doppler, ECG, RBS, Lipid profile
Cancer screening: CXR, PSA, Mammography, tumor markers for at risk individuals
This is for senior citizens with health issues. We concentrate on the individual’s physical, mental and social wellbeing.
Many of the senior citizens have undiagnosed medical conditions including depression and dementia.
Many of our senior citizens have mentioned the following symptoms- tiredness, lack of energy or interest, generalized muscular and joint pains, unsteadiness, falls, shaking, confusion, memory loss, incontinence, taking too many tablets (Polypharmacy) and sleep disturbances. These can be addressed in our geriatric clinic.
